Preschool Program

3 - 4 Year Old

The child must be three years of age or older. Exceptions can be made if the child is toilet trained. The Classroom is designed to encourage learning through play, exploration, and fun. Curriculum learning begins through the use of developmentally appropriate curriculum, materials, and tools. We begin to introduce daily classroom routines with calendar, weather, learning, computer introduction, arts & crafts, stories, songs, puppets, and dance! This group will be introduced to the alphabet, beginning sounds, colors, shapes, numbers 1 – 10, counting and rhyming words. Their interests will guide the array of topics introduced throughout the school year.

Pre-Kindergarten Program

4 - 5 Year Old

Our Pre-Kindergarten program is designed for children who are entering Kindergarten in one year. At this age we are focusing on Kindergarten readiness. They are very independent at this age and are eager and receptive to learning new concepts. The classroom is designed with a combination of self-directed and teacher directed activities that help channel their energy and excitement for gross and fine motor development. This group masters the alphabet, phonetic sound recognition, numbers 1-100, formal letter formation in writing, sequential direction following skills, beginning sight words, rhyming, computer fun, arts & crafts, stories, songs and dance! We stay very busy learning skills that will help your child excel in Kindergarten.

Our curriculum focuses on each child’s developmental status including their cognitive, language, fine motor, gross motor, social-emotional and self-help skills.

Research has consistently shown that quality pre-kindergarten programs benefit not only the individual students, but school districts and communities. A national study of children who attended an academic based Pre-K program scored significantly higher on reading and math tests than children who were in care of their parents and other child care facilities.
